Seattle Opera will present online a series of recitals for some of its productions that had to be cancelled due to the COVID restrictions. Many of the artists originally scheduled to perform in the August double bill “Cavalleria Rusticana / Pagliacci” will participate in this series. Thus, Gregory Kunde has been recording “Cavalleria Rusticana” (Turiddu) and “Pagliacci” (Canio) on the McCaw Hall stage at Seattle Center Studios and he has been accompanied by the pianist John Keene and under the guidance of dramaturg Jonathan Dean.
An online highlights recital of “Cavalleria Rusticana” will be available to season ticket holders from September 25 to October 16, 2020. And “Pagliacci” will be available from October 16 to November, 6, 2020.
